This individual is responsible for external communications, media relations, community partnerships and the development and execution of an annual public relations plan to maximize communications about Gwinnett Medical Center to our community.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Public Relations or other related Communications field strongly preferred, three to five years of Communications related experience. Healthcare experience with a major medical center of 300 + beds in a competitive market strongly preferred, Demonstrated excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, ability and experience in writing, planning and pitching news stories to the media, strong interpersonal relationships with the media, reporters and key community leaders, public speaking skills and demonstrated ability to present in the professional and public settings, experience in routine dealings with senior leadership, physicians, board members and civic/community groups. Ability to manage budgets and understand critical organizational financial issues.
